Wenzhou, China – ZB Bearing Co., Ltd. has announced that its independently developed composite Babbitt journal bearing has successfully passed industrial trials conducted by a Japanese client, marking a major technological breakthrough in the field of high-performance plain bearings.
This product features a high-strength steel-backed Babbitt alloy structure, manufactured through advanced centrifugal casting. It offers excellent fatigue resistance, wear resistance, and tight interference fit, making it ideal for demanding applications such as power generation equipment, compressors, wind turbine main shafts, water pumps, and the oil and gas industry.

Meanwhile, ZB Bearing is optimizing its inspection protocols and process control systems. The new journal bearings are delivered with full quality assurance documentation, including ultrasonic testing reports, dye penetrant inspections, and dimensional deviation evaluations, all of which have passed client validation to ensure traceability and verifiable product reliability from every batch.
The new journal bearing has now entered small-batch delivery and is expected to begin mass production by Q4 of 2025.
